Business at Home

Business at Home

Sometimes people can do some funny things. And I guess a lot of it has to do with a specific personality type. Quitting a job for a business at home is big leap of faith. This is the only step to be taken by an entrepreneur if he wishes to achieve his business goals. The spirit of entrepreneurship after foregoing a stable job carries the inherent risk in starting a home based business opportunity. You could however turn all the risks into opportunities if you have a water-tight plan, a brilliant idea and the talent to surge ahead to make your venture a success. And you definitely need the right kind of money, that is to say, a lot of it.

As long as you are making a decision to quit your job on your own - with no coaxing from someone else - then it might be a good idea, but again, you have to be financially prepared for it financially. Building your own business at home enterprise involves taking maximum risks and in case you hear another definition, ignore. Of course you have to be prepared for some real hard work where you might not be rewarded and people would not even cheer when you do something good, then resigning from your job is not that hard. Being in a home based business opportunity is all about judgment and taking the right risks to reap the associated rewards. Like several other things in life, even in a home business you could perfect the art of business analysis through practice and more practice. But if you are not completely prepared financially, don’t necessarily feel that you should quit your job and go at it full steam ahead. Go at it part time until your business at home builds up enough.

Once in a while, in an attempt to recruit someone into their business at home, a person who could be referred to as a heavy hitter will say to someone, “If you are really serious about this, quit your job and go at this full time - you will make a fortune!” And depending on someone’s personality type, they may take this questionable advice and find themselves having financial difficulties pretty quickly. And though it can sometimes be the right thing to do, giving up a regular job is often times tough for several reasons. At the outset it is a difficult personal decision to say goodbye to some good friends and colleagues. This becomes doubly difficult when your past work has reeked of loyalty and dependability you somehow start to feel as if you are doing some grave injustice, in addition to the aforementioned lack of steady income. So really think long and hard before you decide to quit your job - make sure you are making an informed decision and not one based on emotion or what some salesperson tells you to do..

I really believe you can do both - that is, start a business at home and also keep your day job. It can be kind of tough, however, having two jobs for as long as you need to. To beat these odds can be hard, but you have to face reality with a strong sense of determination and dedication. And no matter what, never quit your regular job before the ground work of your home based business opportunity is in order or you have the necessary money saved so that it can see you through the time till your enterprise start to give you the returns. If you have a partner that can help you pay the bills in the first couple of years it can be a great help. And don’t go into your business at home expecting riches overnight - that is, of course, unless you have the latest, greatest, whiz-bang invention that people simply must have. Or you are in the right place at the right time with the latest trend.

Home Based Business Advice Advice for setting up or up-grading your home based business: One important consideration is having a location in your home that is dedicated to your home based business. You can use this as a tax write off, which includes a % of square footage and then divides that up for a percent of heat, lights, water, etc. but the space must be for you home based business only. So if you do not have a room, then mark out an area that is Business ONLY to keep our friendly tax person happy. Install a phone line dedicated to your home based business. Decide on an answering service and in most cases it is required to have a 1-800 number for someone to take you seriously. Organize your work space with great care. Make sure that you have sufficient space to meet your needs. Have what you need within reach and an excellent filing system as well as backup system for your PC. If needed for your type of business, when scheduling appointments with clients, consider meeting at your client's office or renting a conference room to maintain a professional image. Or learn the new up to date technology of conferencing on the computer. It is fairly easy and not expensive if you use the right services. Keep excellent records of entertainment and travel expenses. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tends to audit home based businesses more frequently—especially when they are writing off a variety of expenses, including the percentage of the mortgage or rent for your office space. There are several good record keepers such as Day Timer®, Franklin Quest® and Day Planner that will help you keep track of your expenses. Use of an accountant or a CPA is recommended and can advise you on deductions you can take and records you must keep for the IRS. Talk with them before or early on in your business so that you are starting your record keeping off on a good track. Set up an LLC so that your home assets and banking are completely separate from your home based business. It is easy and inexpensive for a lawyer to do it for you. Well worth the security. Open a Business Banking account with your business name LLC on the checks. As soon as possible also get two credit cards with your business name LLC Set up a SAVINGS ACCOUNT for your home based business, remember keep it in a business LLC account. Build it up because when you least expect it, you will need it. Develope your computer system, proper programs and decide who will handle your repairs and help as you need it. Check out their service and if possible talk to referrals. Do NOT just trust the Big Computer Stores to be there for you. You are usually not a person to them, just a broken piece of equipment and you go into the 'Q'. Trust me; a good computer person on your team is worth their weight in Gold. A good 2nd PC lap top that can multi task can be a life saver. Discipline yourself. You must be a self-starter and follow a routine, just as if you were working for any other business. In many cases, you are the only person you can rely on to get the job done. Unless it's an emergency, do not baby-sit or chat with your neighbors. There are literally thousands of people entering into a Home Based Business due to the sagging economy, massive business layoffs, and whole industries vanishing as work moves overseas. Families are needed in the past a second income for those little extras; families now need a steady income they can count on. I strongly suggest diversification (never put all your eggs in one basket). Now it is time to look at a business …. Might I suggest you look at Its Good Business. It is solid, easy to work with (notice I didn't say you don't need to work) but we do work on a TEAM basis and you have a mentor to help you firm up how you want to work your internet Home Based Business. ITS GOOD BUSINESS The Internet Entrepreneur Chronicles Written by Corie Wallace - Marketing Strategy Specialist Internet Independence... In The Beginning Over the years there have been many events or forces that have tried to inhibit free thought, free ideas, free enterprise. Whenever there is a downturn in the economy you will find Governments touting that Entrepreneurialismand capitalism do not work. Political parties, Governments and Sovereign nations with specific agendas begin to voice their opinions stating that a "planned economy" or "distribution of wealth" is a far better way to go. In the current economic climate, you will hear it from Leaders who want to control, dictate, and allow government to determine what is best for all. This is not a thriving environment for the Entrepreneur. We have been here before, but as always, the necessity for man to be free and pursue our inalienable rights to individuality, free thinkers and the mavericks have persevered. Thursday September 25, 2008 6:21 PM BEIJING (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez : "The president of the United States has finally recognized there is a crisis...that they are the ones who are responsible for the collapse that is happening the in world at the moment, the financial tsunami," he told a news conference in Beijing. "Socialism is the only route to the salvation of the world." Yes we have been here before.... “ Throughout the nation men and women, forgotten in the political philosophy of the Government, look to us here for guidance and for more equitable opportunity to share in the distribution of national wealth… I pledge myself to a new deal for the American people. This is more than a political campaign. It is a call to arms.” Franklin D. Roosevelt upon accepting the 1932 Democratic nomination. The ushering in of bigger government and regulation. Thursday October 24, 1929 the crash of the US stock market, Black Tuesday ushered in a worldwide depression. Funny how history repeats itself. FDR entered his term of presidency in 1933 with no ideology on dealing with the depression. The New Deal ushered in the age of social reform which meant bigger government. These social programs were meant to be only temporary but most have remained a part of our government programs that we sustain to this day. Created to help those in desperate need at a time when unemployment jumped from 4% to 25% assistance and an out cry from the people required action. Government moved in. Franklin Roosevelt ordered the confiscation of most gold from private citizens. They were to turn in their holdings in exchange for paper currency. Officials explained their currency would be backed by gold in Fort Knox, so people complied. Normally there would be an outcry from the freedom loving Americans for such an executive order to be passed, but these were not the ordinary course of events. Panic, insecurity and fear ruled the day, runs on banks forced FDR to close the banks leaving Americans unsure of what tomorrow would bring. It is very easy to persuade a nation to accept monumental changes in their way of life when there is a major crisis. Parallel that todays environment. Government stepping in, taking on the responsibility of the banks. A bailout using the people's funds whether free thinking folk agree or not. Gold and other precious metals barely rising in value. Very similar happenings shaping the course of events. The global economy again feeling the ripple effect and the pointing of fingers at whose at fault has begun. The call for a globalized economy where a government controlled banking system would be the end of free enterprise as we know it. Dreams and aspirations of the individual would all but disappear. That is why it is crucial to join together worldwide here on the Internet. The spirit of Entrepreneurialism, the ability to achieve success is alive and well. The last frontier for free thinking people who long for the opportunity to create a true business with sustainable income and growth is here. The option if one puts in the effort and works hard independtly can create a lasting hope for the American dream. Fledgling democracies are forming everyday. This is no mistake. Capitalism does work. Reward for tenacity, determination, desire and belief in oneself always wins out in the end. The Internet Entrepreneur Chronicles II - In The Beginning
It's All About the Leads Written by - Corie Wallace - Marketng Strategy Specialist December 5, 2008 "Marketing on Google is a tough gig. You have got to become very savvy in your education to learn everything that there is to know about leads, lead generation and leads generating systems. Your competition is making every effort to accomplish this, so unless you are willing to set your mind to working, then you will fall short of your goals in the home business market." - Butch Hamilton- SEO Master and successful Internet Entrepreneur Internet Leads are no longer being used by just Internet Businesses. The competition has tightened as brokerage firms in this volatile economy seek as many alternative sources as possible to grow their businesses, leads and prospects. These are the professional salesmen calling the same leads you are buying, only they have the time and the resources to do it better and faster than you. These firms can purchase mass amounts of leads and generate conversions at a rate far more successfully for some very obvious reasons. They are the professionals, they get paid to do it, if they fail they don't succeed and if they don't succeed at conversions, they don't get paid. Brokers primarily get paid on 100% commission, if they don't close, they don't survive. How does the average Network Marketer compete with these firms? Lets look at what a typical brokerage firm would do before choosing to do business with a particular leads service. To ensure they receive high quality Internet leads that they will invest in, brokers find and work closely with reputable lead providers. This requires a lot of research and monitoring and the full resources of their companies. Brokers then start to identify what types of leads they are interested in receiving leads for and then search and obtain the services of a leads provider that is most qualified to provide and supply them that specific type of leads. These types of leads cost far greater than you, the typical Network Marketing lead seeker is willing to spend. The next step in their process is to contact the leads providers they are interested in and ask them these specific questions: How are your leads generated? Who else would receive the same leads I would? How many companies receive those leas at the same time? Does the company recycle leads from others? Every Network Marketing lead seeker asks themselves these very questions, unfortunately it is after they have made a 150 phone calls and a 150 rejections. None of these calls had any interest in what you were offering, hardly a quality Business Opportunity lead. Brokerage firms have the luxury of an additional step. Once they have selected their leads provider, brokers customize the filtering process so they obtain only those leads suitable for their market and be most likely to close. Their research process is ongoing and they monitor the performance of these business opportunity lead. They have the resources manpower and employees to ensure that this process takes place. If they find a leads service provider has under performing leads, they simply replace them with high performing lead service providers. In order for you the Network Marketing leads seeker, to learn to generate your own leads. You would then have all the questions answered, avoid the rejecting and expense, and have a pipeline full of high quality, targeted and exclusive leads for your business opportunity. Take action and learn to compete in our new age economy. click here for a free lead generating tool. Business Opportunity Leads - Its All ABout The Leads
Starting A Home Based Business If you are starting a home based business opportunity, especially for the first time, here is something that you should be aware of before getting started. The majority of all attempted home based business opportunities fail! Why? For most people, it is not really their fault. There is a fairly large learning curve that is involved. Most people do not have a degree in sales or marketing, talking to people on the phone, creating web sites, etc. etc. whatever, whatever! There is just so much you need to learn when you get involved with any work from home business. Usually, their is some start up capital that is needed. Do you have the needed funds to put into your home based business? Very seldom does anyone make money when they are first beginning. This alone makes the majority of those working a business opportunity to get frustrated and give up. Did you know that if you had a brick and mortar type business, for most owners it takes at least three years to get into profit? This of course depends on the type of business and the location. If you are starting a home based business, same deal. That is the way you have to think. You should be pouring any money made back into the business to nurture it and help it grow. Time! You need to be dedicated to your business and put in the needed hours every day for training and self growth. You also need to get into a routine as far as working your work from home business daily. If you can do the above on a consistent basis, starting a home based business could be the most rewarding thing you have ever done. Those who can make it through the growing pains will succeed. Remember...never give up!! Good Business! Jim Eberle Tripower Team
Starting a Home Based Business 61
Home Based Business and Scams Are you concerned if the home based business you are in or are looking at, is a Scam, read on: MLM and Networking companies are very viable forms of business and have made many hard working entrepreneurs quite wealthy, but it has made many more a stable and profitable income with their home based business. Some have chosen a limited part time path for some extra spending money and a vast number have lost their shirt due to greed (thinking they can make millions by doing almost nothing), thinking their business was a get quick rich plan. Some lost everything due to poor planning and lack of consistent and coordinated business plan or even lack of knowledge on how to do the needed tasks to make money online. Your business success depends on it. Let us look at some of the BIG signs that yell SCAM! Anything that makes claims of extreme incomes fast with very little work involved. Flyers stuck under your windshield of promising a successful home based businesse, that should be RED flags. Is the emphasis on hiring more reps or on sales of products and services? If Reps are the big pressure then it is a sign of a SCAM. Is this a startup company with grand plans for success but no track records? Do they offer many training sessions that you pay for, specializing in raw raw raw and prancing the latest success story? A convention once a year would be considered normal for a strong company. Are you paid on recruiting people but not on movement of product? Actually that is a Pyramid and is illegal. Are you being asked to invest in buying large amounts of your companys products? Let the company carry the product and do the shipping. Are you being strongly encouraged to purchase lots of books, CDs, DVDs, brochures and other company marketing and training materials? Many companies make a huge profit selling motivational supplies and materials, including web sites. With offers of outrageous claims about miracle products, be skeptical. There are many and most medical advances have come about through years of study, not overnight successes. But in fairness when you are moving to holistic healing rather than standard medical care, you will find many natural products that do the same if not better than some medications. Always consult with your physician or naturopath. Unfortunately home based business scams have happened for years taking the money; billions of dollars for their own profit, not the Reps. Do your research by watching for warning signs. Do not disengage brain as some people work on such a high energy, urgent feeling, of sign up now or all will be lost, trust your instincts. Does this really feel comfortable? Does the person answering your question feel like someone you want on your personal team? You are ready to research having your own home based business to make money online? Smart idea, as the benefits are many. Such as huge tax benefit, what I call the 2 minute commute, having a measure of control over how much you earn, what hours and days you work and building residual income, to name a few. But how do you wade your way through the scams and watch out for the filim flam man? When researching a company I like to see a proven track record, a clear training plan that is up to date with todays technologies, excellent products, 100% guarantees, a program that supports the concept of TEAM not competing against each other. To make money online with a home based business you will find a much higher success ratio when working with a TEAM.
